Idemitsu Pro Racing 5W-40 is a fully synthetic engine oil for professional, amateur and road racing with all turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines with direct/indirect fuel injection systems. Application & Suitability

Intended Engine Types

• Turbocharged engines — both gasoline direct injection (GDI) and port fuel injection (PFI) layouts operating under high boost and elevated exhaust temperatures.
• Naturally aspirated high-revving engines — including four-cylinder and six-cylinder sport and race-prepared engines that operate at sustained high RPM.
• Direct and indirect fuel injection systems — formulated to control deposits common in modern DI engines.

Intended Use Cases & Operating Conditions

• Professional and amateur circuit racing, time attack, and track-day events where oil temperatures routinely exceed normal street thresholds.
• High-load, high-heat conditions such as extended wide-open-throttle operation, towing under load, or sustained performance driving.
• Applications requiring a 5W-40 viscosity grade as specified by the engine or vehicle manufacturer.

Not Recommended For

• Diesel engines — this formula is not designed or tested for diesel combustion chemistry or diesel emissions after-treatment systems.
• Engines with wet-clutch systems (e.g. some motorcycles) unless the manufacturer explicitly approves a standard automotive engine oil in that viscosity.
• Applications where the OEM specifies a markedly different viscosity grade (e.g. 0W-16, 0W-20) — consult your owner's manual or our team before substituting.
